The complete dorm packing checklist (printable)
A four-bag plan for a typical double, plus the questions to ask housing before you drive.
Pack at home by category so move-in day is carry, unzip, done. A common split is bedding, clothes, bath, and desk.
- Bag 1 · Bedding: twin XL sheets, comforter, topper, pillows.
- Bag 2 · Clothes: hanging clothes, jeans, sweaters, shoes.
- Bag 3 · Bath and laundry: towels, caddy, robe, detergent pods.
- Bag 4 · Desk and decor: lamp, extension cord, photos, a small rug if it rolls.
TODO: twin XL bedding fit and under-bed clearance are not verified. Measure the bed. A packed bag needs about 15 inches of height.
